See What Mercedes-Benz Thinks Cars Will Look Like in 2030

A few automakers are experimenting with self-driving technology, and Mercedes-Benz may have just put itself a few steps ahead of everyone else this week at the 2015 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) with the debut of the F 015 Luxury in Motion concept.

Inside a sleek silver body with LED lights, the concept features a lounge-like interior with swivel chairs, an entirely digital dashboard, and several screens on the doors that project the intended travel route, music selections, and other information. Oh, and just in case you feel the need to drive manually, there's also a driving wheel.

At the 2015 CES press conference, Mercedes-Benz explained that it envisions cars as a "cocoon on wheels" and a place to hang out, not just a means of transportation.

While we're sure no one is more excited for this technology than the team at Mercedes-Benz of Fort Myers, we'll have to wait several years before it's road-ready and mass-produced. In the meantime, come down to our 15461 South Tamiami Trail location in Fort Myers and test one of our new Mercedes-Benz models.
